Start with the moonlit kingdom
Pick one color for the dragon and a lighter shade for its wings. Leave the moon and stars pale, then use a darker blue or purple for the sky. If you only have a few minutes, finish the dragon and save the town for later.
Try the airship scene next
The airship, dragon, and castle give you three places to start. Give each one a different accent color, then repeat those colors in the smaller details to pull the scene together. Both illustrations are from the final Dragon Master level of The Fantasy Coloring Quest.
